operations manager

As Operations Manager, Valarie provides strategic leadership to improve organisational performance, procure materials and resources, and ensure compliance across all areas of the organisation. She oversees the big picture, managing processes related to purchasing, accounting, human resources, IT, and service delivery. Valarie coordinates all activities in alignment with the kawa and tikanga of Ngāi Tamawhariua hapū and the goals and objectives set by the Board of Trustees. In her role, she works in close partnership with the Board to lead, support, coordinate, and monitor employees within Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tamawhariua. Through the indigenous system of care, Tūāpapa, Valarie ensures that services delivered to the hapori (community), hapū, and whānau are grounded in the core values of tika, pono, and aroha. She is deeply passionate about her work, finding fulfilment in the opportunity to improve access to services and opportunities for the hapori, hapū, and whānau she serves.
